City riders don’t need a pep talk. They need fewer surprises. Watty is the long subscription that bundles fixes, insurance, and swaps so the bike stays the easy choice; points and impact nudges reward the habit.
Watty was designed around a simple idea: if sustainable urban mobility is going to become a real habit, it cannot feel like extra effort. In cities, the problem is often not motivation, but friction: hidden costs, uncertainty, downtime, and the constant thought of what happens if something goes wrong. Watty answers that by turning long term e-bike renting into something calmer and easier to trust. The experience is built around an all-in subscription that covers maintenance, insurance, and fast replacements, so the rider is not left dealing with the usual background stress alone. From there, the product becomes more personal: the bike can be customised to fit everyday life, rewards turn consistency into something tangible, and impact insights make the value of each ride visible instead of abstract. Even daily movement is treated with more care, with route options that adapt to different moods and moments, whether the rider wants the fastest way, a quieter street, or a more scenic path. Support follows the same logic: if something feels off, a simple photo-based report helps start the process quickly and without friction. The result is a concept that reframes e-bike renting not as a compromise or a moral lesson, but as a more stable, flexible, and reassuring way to move through the city, with a visual and product language built to feel simple, clear, and centered around the bike itself. The project later received silver at the IMD Award 2026.
